Admittedly – quilting is a trend that won’t go out of style anytime soon. One of the most popular trends in VOGUE World’s Fall Fashion Trends report, which we call the neo-boho trend, is patchwork clothing. Think skirts, coats, and dresses that look like they’re spliced, cut, and glued together.
Brands such as Chloé, Marine Serre and Ulla Johnson have cleverly stitched fabrics together for their fall The runway offers a variety of fabrics and styles. It’s an understated aesthetic, whether it’s quilting, patches or paneling, that suits the mood of fall.
In a rich fall color palette, dresses, midi skirts and jackets mix scalloped leather, gingham and quilting in warm tones of brown, Yellow and brick – perhaps inspired by the upcoming foliage later in the season. The end result is a contemporary style that draws inspiration from classic American styles — and this fall, wearing a mix is what counts.
