The 2023 Farmers Insurance Open will offer golf fans some star-studded breakouts over the first two days. Elsewhere at the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open, two-time major champion Colin Morikawa will be paired with Max Homa and Will Zaratoris, the runner-up — according to the latest 2023 Farmers Insurance Open. Insurance Open odds, with Rahm entering this week’s event 4-1 as title favorites. He’s followed by Xander Schauffele (12-1), Morikawa (12-1), Finau (12-1) and Thomas (13-1) on the PGA odds list. SportsLine’s proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model’s best bet since its reboot has risen by more than $9,000, winning race after race.

McClure’s model predicts Jon Rahm at the top of the 2023 Sentinel Championship and Amex’s leaderboard. The model also includes JT Poston’s top pick to win the 2022 John Deere Classic. That bet came to +5500, and McClure’s best bet of the entire tournament returned nearly $1,100. McClure’s model runs through Scotty Scheffler’s first career major title heading into the weekend at the 2022 Masters.

Additionally, McClure’s best bets include Colin Morikawa’s outright win at the 2021 British Open, though he’s listed as a huge 40-1 long shot. The model can also be seen everywhere as Jon Rahm (10-1) wins his first career major title at the 2021 US Open. Rahm was two strokes behind the leaders going into the weekend, but the model still predicted him to be the winner.

Heading into the weekend, the same model also claimed a staggering eight majors. Anyone paying attention to it has seen huge returns.

Now that the venue for the 2023 Nongbao Open has been locked, SportsLine simulated the match 10,000 times and the results are astonishing. Head over to SportsLine now to see the projected leaderboard.

2023 Farmers Insurance Open Best Prediction

The model calls for a major surprise at the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open: Go Morikawa The two-time PGA Tour champion and one of the favourites, with a record of 12-1, stumbled this week and barely squeezed into the top 10. Despite a final-round 72, Morikawa finished runner-up in the Sentry Championship.

However, Morikawa’s putting performance this season has been extremely inconsistent. In fact, Morikawa entered the week 114th in strokes achieved: 133rd in putts (-.056), 133rd in one-putt percentage (38.19%), and overall putt average ( 1.642) ranked 168th. He ranks 214th on the PGA Tour in approach distance of 75-100 yards. He’s not a strong option to win everything and is a better value in the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open field.

Another surprise: 22-1 long shot Max Homa in the title. His chances of winning it all are much better than his odds suggest, so he’s a target for anyone looking for a big payday.

Homa came into this week’s game with a very good drive, averaging 305.7 yards per drive this season. Homa’s ability to get the ball deep into the fairway allowed him to approach the green with short irons. That lethal combination has helped him hit 73.61 percent of his greens in regulation this season. The 32-year-old also ranks sixth in birdie average (5.31), which helped him win the Fortinet Championship earlier this season. Homa is one of the top value picks that should grab your attention this week in the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open. See who else is available here.
