The Writers Guild has announced nominees for the Television, New Media, Journalism, Radio/Audio and Promotional Writing categories.
Abbott Elementary School
, Ando, Bad Sisters, Bear and Severance are nominated for new series; Abbott and The Bear were also nominated for Comedy Series, while Andor and Severance earned the drama nod.
Better Call Saul, The Crown and Yellowjackets also earned a drama nod, while Barry, Hacks and Only Murders in the Building was nominated for Comedy.
Limited series nominees include The Dropout, Fleishman Is in Trouble, Pam & Tommy, The Staircase and The White Lotus.
Better Call Saul received two additional nominations in the melodrama category, which also included a nomination for Bad Sisters, Belligerent , Ozark and Severance . In the sitcom category, The Bear with Grace and Frankie, Hacks, Julia, Reserve Dogs and we are in the dark What to do here . The most notable name in the category is The Bear star Ayo Edebiri, who is also a prolific television writer; she is nominated along with co-writer Shana Gohd what do we do in the shadows .
Winners will be announced on Writers Guild Awards The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 5th.
