In this life, there are running-mill rom-com , and then there are fans of “high school stays home watching rom-coms every Saturday night, leading to an unhealthy attachment to the genre.” Want to know which one I am? ok ok twist my arm and i’ll tell you: i’m the latter, one of my favorite rom-coms in my high school underdog days was Saving The Last Dance , starring Julia Stiles, a wannabe ballet dancer who moves to Chicago’s South Side and…learns to adapt to the culture? It’s currently on Netflix, so let’s get started, shall we?

  1. Netflix considers this movie “96% match” me. I refuse to embarrass Juilliard.
  2. Oh yeah, Julia Stiles screwed up the audition.

  18. Sean taught Julia to dance and everything was fine until she walked into Q in the bathroom hold someone up. She wanted Sean to abandon him, but he was too loyal.

  36. With Sean’s help, Julia did a hip-hop ballet routine that… well, let’s just say it involves a chair.
  37. Oh wow, she’s in! Is that all?
  38. Julia ends up with Shaw at the club A movie of Eun and Kerry dancing while wearing an even more proprietary braid look. That’s ok.
