281 Cent said he and Eminem are collaborating on a TV show based on the latter’s semi-autobiographical film 8 Mile.
“I’m taking his 8 Mile to TV,” Cent said in an interview with Big Boy TV, before confirming that the “Mockingbird” rapper was involved in the project, And the pair have already made some progress toward making it happen. “We’re on the move.”
Cent, going on to say the show “is going to be big I’m at work. I don’t have any duds. I’m going to hit a hundred, I’m going to hit a hundred,” possibly referring to his long-running Starz Power
series and its multiple derivatives Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan and Power Book IV: Force
When Big Boy asked the rapper what he thought of adapting the cult classic into a series When asked who’s idea and whether he has to convince Eminem, Cent says he doesn’t.
“I think it should be for his legacy because if you can’t see it… it’s important to me that they understand it,” the rapper Say. “You know what I mean?”
Cent explained that he put the show Conceived as a modern retelling of the film, compare it to Bel-Air, Peacock’s Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reboot.
“I would like to be able to show and give more details, what you would say in the interview, or the different things you have used, you put there, things like that stuff,” he said. “You see the surface of these things and the temperament of the characters.”
