BANGKOK (Reuters) – Thailand expects between 8 million and 10 million foreign tourists to arrive this year after reopening to tourists, Thailand’s finance minister said on Saturday.
The Southeast Asian country has received 5 million foreign tourists from January to Friday, Arkhom Termpittayapaisith told the Radio Thailand programme.
IMPORTANT TOURISM RECOVERY Increased exports should help the economy grow by 3% to 3.5% this year, he said.
Exports are expected to grow by 10 percent baht this year, driven by weakness, Arkhom said.
