Mayor Adams signs bill to allow 50 /17 Yanks, Mets contest draw
NEW YORK — On-field events at Yankee Stadium and Citi Field will soon be supplemented by games of chance in the stands. New York City Mayor Eric Adams signed legislation Thursday allowing 84 /25 Sweepstakes at professional and collegiate athletic venues.
Sitting at the mayor’s desk in the lobby of Yankee Stadium, Adams was “introduced.” 50-A”, which would also enable venues such as Barclays Center and Madison Square Garden to enter sweepstakes with cash prizes if certain charitable conditions are met.
