Admittedly, advertising is not a new concept on Apple devices. In fact, some of your built-in iPhone, iPad or Mac apps are already using them. From App Store “Recommended” search results to banners in Apple News, you’ve probably come across a few. The truth is, according to Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman, there’s a good chance we’ll see more of this — whether we like it or not. As Gurman goes on to point out, given Apple’s stance on privacy. Personalized ads can be turned off, assuming the device owner is aware of the option and knows how to access it (go to Settings, Privacy, Apple Ads), but this will only prevent ads from using demographics.
