Recalled switchblade and ceramic pulley kitesurf used in drifter k This can cause the bridle to disconnect, reducing the steering and control of the kite, causing the kite surfer to lose control of the kite and presenting a risk of injury.

This recall involves two (2) white Ceramic pulleys, marked Cabrinha on each pulley, Cabrinha® Switchblade and Drifter Kites for kitesurfing, model 02, serial number beginning with one of the following: 61NI, 61NJ, 61NK, 61NL, 62NA, 62NB, 62NC, C11G, C11H, C11K. The model number and serial number are located on the outer box containing the kite, the kite’s hang tag and the rear edge of the kite label. The package of the kite has no green dots on the hang tag and outer box. The recall includes two white ring ceramic pieces/guides (two per kite).
Remedy:
Consumers should immediately stop using recalled Switchblade and Drifter Kite sailing kites and contact the place of purchase, authorized dealer or Adventure Sports for a free replacement kit and kite installation instructions. Consumers will receive replacement kits for repairs, or can request supplier assistance in replacing pulleys. The company is contacting all known purchasers directly regarding the recall.
Accident/Injury:
The company has received 30 reports of worn reins on the ceramic pulleys. No injuries were reported.

Kitesurf shops including St. Petersburg kitesurfing and the best professional kitesurfing in Florida, American Adventure Sports and online https://www. cabrinha.com and other sites from October 2021 to April 2022 for about $15 (single pulley) plus $11 for the reins. Kites with ceramic pulleys sell for between $1,250 and $2,000.
