Al Roker from the Today show is back home just in time for the holidays.
The weatherman and anchor shared on his Instagram that he has been released from the hospital and is in contact with loved ones go home together .
“Home! Thank you so much family, friends, medical staff, @todayshow family and all your thoughts and prayers,” he said in wrote on Instagram.
Roker’s wife, Deborah Roberts, also posted Their throwback photo Thursday, he said: “On this Thursday we are so thankful for our beautiful, loving family and friends , and the strength of an amazing medical team. Looking back on the celebration with @alroker so long ago, I cherish the happy moments and look forward to many more. What a strong man. Blessings and gratitude are the words that define our lives today.” at In the second Instagram post , she included a photo of herself, Roker and their daughter , she added, “Home. Where the heart lives.”
Today Show Family Excited shared the news on the Friday morning broadcast, adding sweet comments and support for Roker.
“We’re playing his song. He loves the A-Team theme. Every morning, we hear it coming from his office, so we’re playing it for you this morning … yes, turn it on,” said Savannah Guthrie.
In November, Roker shared on social media that he was hospitalized with a blood clot in his leg, which then sent some to his lungs.
“Many of you have been asking thoughtfully where I’ve been. Last week I was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in my leg, some of which went to my lung,” said the weather The member and anchor said in an Instagram post at the time. “After some medical whack-a-mole, I have been blessed to have excellent medical care and am on my way to recovery. Due to health issues, Roker missed his first annual Macy’s Thanksgiving in NYC this year procession.
A week after the parade, Roker was hospitalized again after his first release Thrombosis, unable to participate in the lighting of the Rockefeller Center tree.
During his absence from the Today show, his colleagues continued to share with viewers about his health.
