ALC Spring 2023 Ready-to-Wear

spring mark , Andrea Lieberman ran business for ALC and her brand slogan was: “I say this every season, but we make real clothes for real women with real lives.” Doesn’t mean clothes stay the same – 15 leggings and pastel blazers have given way Neutral slacks and petite tops today—but the goal remains to provide attractive ready-to-wear that can be worn to the office, a date, or anywhere in between. Lieberman talks to clients, not to the capital F fashion industry. “I remember starting this company and it was weird: Everyone thought it was really important that we didn’t have gigs. But in many ways, that was never my intention because I’ve always been customer-centric,” she said.

For spring, Lieberman paid special attention to texture: heavy linens, pleated vegan leather, and colorful crochet dresses. One of the standout pieces was a short-sleeved caramel dress with a sheer pleated skirt, a modern take on safari style. Unexpected — not trendy — and classic, it’s ALC at its best.
