All the upcoming DC/DCEU movies and TV shows in one handy list

Any DC fan will tell you one thing for sure: the world of DC movies and TV can be… confusing. Unlike its competitors Marvel , DC has movies and TV shows everywhere, and even multiple adaptations of the same character. Almost every major cable network has had a DC superhero, including Fox’s Lucifer and Gotham and the short-lived Constantine on NBC. Fortunately, in recent years, independent universes have become easier to track as most content has moved to HBO Max or Netflix.

DC Extended Universe (DCEU) contains from Iron Man to Now. These films are where DC wants to create a continuous story where each hero or villain’s actions in one film translate into others. The only notable exception so far is Batman starring Robert Pattinson, which is separate from the overall storyline in the DCEU.

In the following years, in addition to the famous superheroes Aquaman , Shazam! and Wonder Woman . So far, these movies have no ties to DC TV shows, but HBO Max is likely to be the An attempt by the comic book giant to bring cohesion between the two mediums, with spinoffs such as Suicide Squad Peacemaker (John Cena).

Since the DC Universe streaming service switched from hosting original shows to selling digital comics, HBO Max now distributes most non-Arrowverse TV shows and movies, both animated and live-action. Still, the platform hosts DCEU-adjacent shows like Doom Patrol , and plans to produce two TV spinoffs of Batman .

However, in addition to DCEU movies and shows, it’s also worth mentioning the vast amount of non-DCEU content on various cable channels and streams Serve. First up is the Arrowverse. The CW has been hosting DC’s roles since 2012, starting with Arrow, and DC’s Green Arrow. Since then, many other live-action and animated series have premiered and worked on multiple major crossovers as well as their own standalone storylines. Movie

Black Adam(Oct 21), 2022)

If you didn’t pay close attention to The Rock Black Adam training, you’re missing out. Black Adam is an anti-hero with the same magic power as Shazam, and may become the superhero’s archenemy in the DCEU. Due to Covid-19, the film has been delayed from its December 2021 release date to the summer of 2022. For now, there’s not much to share other than The Rock’s Instagram update on the film and his shattered physique.

Shazam: Wrath of the Gods (December 21, 2022)

Originally scheduled for release in 2022 , the pandemic has delayed production of the kids-turned-superhero sequel. Lucy Liu, Helen Mirren and Rachel Zegler have been cast in new roles and could be villains in the upcoming sequel. There is also no word on whether Black Adam has any direct connection to Shazam! sequel.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023) March 17, 2009)

Little is known about the sequel to Jason Momoa’s Aquaman. Various actors from the first film are expected to reprise their roles, including Yahya Abdul-Mateen.

Wonder Woman 3 (TBD)

back Wonder Woman 1984, Mighty Amazon already has a third movie in the works. Jenkins has put the story on hold for 2020 due to Covid-19, so it is not known when Jenkins will return to the script or when the film will go into production. Also, Jenkins is busy directing Cleopatra (which Wonder Woman Gal Gadot will star) and a new Star Wars movie titled Rogue Squadron .

Supergirl(TBD)

Superman’s young apprentice will finally be appearing in her latest feature film soon. Teen and RestlessstarSasha Calle Playing Supergirl in the upcoming The Flash movie, which makes the film the Girl in Steel DCEU debut before her own indie film. If we’re lucky, Henry Cavill makes a cameo as a Superman to teach Supergirl the ropes.

Zatanna (TBD)

Zatanna in the comics is a magician who has worked with the Justice League and Batman in the past. She is also a member of Justice League Dark, a magical offshoot of the original Justice League. She only appeared in the final three live-action seasons of Smallville , played by Serinda Swan. The upcoming film has no cast yet. The script will be written by promising young woman Emerald Fennell, according to Variety .

Electrostatic shock(TBD)

Leon Bennett

A little known superhero, Static Shock follows a black man who suddenly gets power and gets a superhero name Static teenagers. The character was animated back in 2000, but hasn’t been revisited since. According to AV Club, Michael B. Jordan signed to produce the film, and Randy McKinnon of Grand Army is writing the script. Jordan didn’t give further information, but it’s another new hero to watch.

Superman(TBD)

Produced by JJ Abrams, scripted by Ta-Nehisi Coates? The upcoming Superman reboot is already looking good. Little is known about who will direct or star in the movie, but if ripped straight from the comics, the new Superman will take place on Earth 2, an alternate Earth timeline featuring black alien superheroes. Then it won’t have any effect on Henry Cavill’s version of the character.

Green Lantern Corps (TBD)

It’s unclear if the project is still in the works for the Green Lantern TV series with HBO Max. But since we haven’t heard of the film being shelved, the Green Lantern Corps is another upcoming DC movie with no director or release date announced. According to Deadline , screenwriters David Goyer ( Batman V Superman ) and Justin Rowe Des (Terminator: Dark Fate) had a script written back in 2019, but here’s what’s new for the movie.

TV show

Titans Season 4 (probably in 2022)

DC’s Titans on HBO Max

Dick Grayson’s teenage superhero team is returning. Characters could come back from the dead next season, the Titans move to Gotham City, and the official appearance of Red Hood, another villain of Batman’s former Robbins. Titans Season 3 is expected to hit theaters in August 2021.

Doom Patrol Season 4(May 2023)

HBO Max

was originally announced as DC Titans, Doom Patrol The hybrid superhero spin-off of the team is now completely separate from other DC shows. In fact, the show’s main character even made a cameo in the Arrowverse during the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover. Now on HBO Max, Doom Patrol is now in its fourth season, so more episodes may drop sometime in 2022.

Peacemaker Season 2 (May 2023)

Based on John Cena in Suicide Squad, Peacemaker will follow pacifist Christopher Smith, who decides to give up his Nonviolent ethics for peace. From the Suicide Squad trailer, he seems more than happy to kill anyone who gets in his way.

Justice League Dark Series(TBD)

JJ Abrams will develop a game based on Justice League Dark series . In the comics, the team consists of magical heroes who deal with supernatural forces that the average Justice League might find less capable of handling. With the upcomingConstantine series also on the way, DC looks set to launch a new Abrams-adapted universe.

Constantine(TBD)

2005 movie with Keanu Reeves Or the 2014 NBC show has nothing to do, IGN reports JJ Abrams production company Bad Robot Productions will develop a new Constantine The series, linked to Abrams’ other TV adaptation Justice League Dark , will premiere on HBO Max at some point in the future. It’s too early to tell, but DC may want to officially bring Constantine and the magician Zatanna into the DCEU movie.

A Gotham PD Series(TBD)

UpcomingBatman A spin-off series of the film, the untitled project will further explore corruption within Gotham City, with the film taking place ahead of the upcoming events. In addition to the series’ showrunner, whoVariety reports on Joe Barton, who created and wrote Netflix’s Girl/Haji.

Gotham-focused series will have to deviate from Fox’s Gotham , ending in 2019. The series focuses on Jim Gordon, not yet commissioner, and the entire city police department. It also has many famous villains and their origin stories, including The Joker (though the show can’t really call him that, but we know what they’re up to). Since it happens after Bruce Wayne becomes Batman, it should be safe.

Green Lantern Series (TBD)

You know what they say What, if you don’t succeed, try again….on HBOMax. Greg Berlanti, who worked in the Arrowverse, directed Love, Simon and executive produced Doom Patrol , will Now writing and producing a new Green Lantern series for the streaming service. Berlanti also wrote and produced the poorly received 2011 Ryan Reynolds adaptation, so he knows the material well. The series still has no official release date.

Mrs. X (TBD)

In 2021,The Hollywood Reporter announced that JJ Abrams will be with Angela Robinson Co-created ) Madame X TV show inspired by DC Comics character Madame Xanadnu. No word yet on the status of the show.
