Amal Clooney’s La Dolce Vita summer continues. This time, the human rights lawyer strolled through the streets of Italy in the perfect beach day outfit: a pair of green and turquoise Missoni shorts in the brand’s distinctive chevron, and an aqua long-sleeve with a sheer lace panel across her décolletage and forearms. She also wore a pair of tan sandals and carried a black leather tote. And, in a moment of fashion-meets-function, she shielded her head from the unforgiving rays with a large floppy tan sunhat which she wore just the other week.
While sunhats brew strong opinions, Clooney is something of an aficionado. On a recent family outing on Lake Como, she sported a woven iteration—which she paired with a divisive cork wedge. Clearly a fan of a dramatic hat, Clooney wore a creme-colored Stella McCartney hat with a black ribbon encircling the base (which she coordinated with her sleek pantsuit) to her civil wedding to husband George in 2014. Talk about dedication—to marriage and sun protection.
