Amazon Prime Video will co-premier Season 5 of The Handmaid’s Tale to members in the UK and Ireland later this year, sharing the latest update on the hit series starring Elizabeth A season of Moss with BBC Channel 4.
Monday’s announcement comes after the e-commerce giant completed its acquisition of the studio behind the dystopian hit International Distributor Drama, Earlier this year .
All four seasons based on the novel of the same name 1985 by Canadian author Margaret Atwood The show is currently available on Channel 4’s streaming services All 4 and Prime.

In Season 5, Joan (Moss) faces the consequences of killing a key political leader at Gilead, a totalitarian society that was once part of America. Responding to a sharply declining birth rate, Gilead was ruled by a fundamentalist regime that forced the few remaining fertile women into sex slavery in an attempt to resettle this devastated world.
