The American Film Institute revealed on Wednesday that 2024 AFI awards ceremony will be held on January 5th 2024 at Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles hotel.
The AFI Awards are selected by a jury of AFI trustees, artists, critics and academics . Submission deadlines will be announced in the coming weeks, and winners will be announced in December.
“Celebrating the collaborative nature of film and television, the AFI Awards are the only national program to honor creative teams as a whole, honoring those in front of and behind the camera,” the institute said in a statement. “All winning entries advance the art of the moving image, inspire viewers and artists, and enhance the rich cultural heritage of the American art form. When placed in historical context, these stories provide complex insights into our modern world.” And a rich visual record.”
Last Year’s Featured Best Film Includes Avatar: Way of Water , Elvis Presley, Everything Everywhere All Once , The Fabelmans, Nope, She Said, Tár, Top Gun: Maverick, The Woman King ) and Woman talking . In television, the AFI’s TV show of the year is Abbott Primary School, Bear , Better Call Saul, Hacks, Mo, Pachinko, Reservation Dogs, Severance, Somebody Somewhere and The White Lotus.
