American Idol crowned new champion.
Sunday’s season 21 finally saw Iam Tongi named the winner of the ABC singing competition.
He beat out Megan Danielle and Colin Stough, who finished second and third respectively.
Tongi, who is years old, performed his original song “I'” at the finale ll Be Seeing You”. On the show, he also performed a duet on “Monster” with James Blunt.
In the three-hour finale, Idol judge Luke Bryan was also joined by Stough On stage, other performers include Pitbull, Lil Jon, TLC and Lucy Love. Katy Perry and Lionel Richie were on the jury.
Host Ryan Seacrest also performed “Don’t Let Go” after Tongi was declared the winner.
