'Andorra' to be first Disney+ Star Wars show to air on ABC

Disney is giving Andor an unprecedented cross-platform campaign for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The company is going to air Star Wars TV series The first two episodes of ABC — along with FX, Freeform and Hulu. This marks the first time a Disney+ Star Wars series has aired on a broadcast network. The move comes as the show’s first season finale airs on Disney+.

franchise to date, praising its mature tone, relatively complex morality, and strong visuals. But Andor has been trying to attract the same audience as The Mandalorian and Obi- and others and its first half were criticized as slow burn by some Star Wars fans. The cross-platform push shows Disney believes the series has the potential to reach a larger audience.

The first two episodes of Andor will air on ABC on Wednesday, November 23, November FX Thursday 9pm24 November Freeform 9pm24 ) 9pm Dot, will air on Hulu from November 23 to December 7th. To watch the rest of the season, viewers will have to switch to Disney+, November 23.

Andor airs the ending “set five years before the events of Rogue One, focusing on Cassian and his transformation into a rebel hero. A journey. The story is set against an emerging rebellion against a ruthless empire, and humanity and planet are drawn into a conflict that will have far-reaching consequences for the entire galaxy.”
