Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani recognized for their dominance in 2022.
Trout hit 40 home runs to climb the Angels’ team record book for the third time in his career.

Trout and Otani are already Hank Aaron Award nominees – much to the delight of Angels fans – to recognize they are on a plate ‘s outstanding performance.
Then , on Thursday, they were named finalists (along with two other Angels) for the Silver Rod Award – Trout and Otani in OF at DH and the Utilities scene.
Later Thursday, they were also announced as finalists for more awards.
Otani was named Player of the Year and a finalist for the American League Outstanding Player Award at MLB’s Players’ Choice Awards. Trout, who was named a finalist for the AL Comeback Player of the Year award, played 119 games this year after injuries kept him from playing just 36 games last year.
Award nominations are still being announced, so we can expect more big-name nominations for the Angels superstar. But for now, it’s great to see them being recognized for the incredible season they put together.
