Animate Group’s C-labo card chain revealed on Thursday that the company and its former representative director, Keiichiro Nishiura, have been charged with violating corporate tax laws . The announcement stated that the company has submitted a revised tax return under the guidance of the National Tax Agency, paid all the arrears, and continues to cooperate with the investigation of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Jiji.com reported on Thursday that the company is suspected of tax evasion and is worth 95 million yen (approximately USD 95, ). The website said XJTLU has been sued.
C-labo claims that its investigation and that of the IRS have found that XJTLU individuals have embezzled money. C-labo added that after the investigation, the company promptly dismissed XJTLU and has no relationship with XJTLU at present. C-labo has initiated criminal proceedings against Nishiura.
