On Saturday, July 15, friends and family descended on St James’ Church in Dorney to witness the couple tie the knot. Jefferson and Anna chose the church for its “romantic and intimate” feel. “It’s small, but it’s as beautiful as a postcard,” Anna said. “La Stacey created a fun and fun atmosphere as a priestess who arranged this ancient ceremony for us in a very modern way. We love her. The organist played the Beach Boys’ “Only God Knows,” Ben Northover read Bob Dylan’s “The Wedding Song,” so we brought our own style to the ceremony.” As soon as the ceremony began, all unease melted away. “I was very nervous until I saw Anna go into the church, and then the emotions soared,” Jefferson said. “I felt so bound by the energy in the room.” Ana added, “I felt like I was floating on cloud nine! It was an incredibly transformative ritual and spiritual moment for both of us.”
The party really begins when the guests leave the church. “Our dear friend Waris Ahluwalia has just launched his new non-alcoholic champagne called Love Conquers All, so we’re very proud to offer this as neither of us drinks alcohol,” they laugh. After the pair departed for afternoon tea in a Bentley Mulsanne, the wedding party followed closely behind the aforementioned Routemasters, all assembled at Oakley Court and whisked away to the river The Bell Tent, where chefs Johnnie Collins and Mateo Zielonka serve up a vegan and gluten-free feast. Tables were lovingly decorated by Alex Eagle and Sophie Hodges with wild, seasonal flowers from the hotel gardens, including cornflowers, pale pink and white English roses, jasmine, sweet peas and peonies.
Naturally, the guest list was full of stylish celebrities, not the least of which was Jefferson’s ex-partner Kate Moss and their daughter, rising model Lila. Other attendees spanning film, art, music and photography include Tilda Swinton, Björk, Haider Ackerman, Nick Knight, Debra Shaw, Bella Floyd, Kara Otto, Zac Posen, Daphne Guinness, Jurgen Teller, Andreas Kranthaler, Erin O’Connor, Mark Quinn, Tim Walker, Han S. Ulrich Obrist, Pam Hogg and Sam McKnight. “We are so grateful for everyone’s support and the incredible love they have shown us,” the couple said. “We are blessed to have such beautiful friends and family in our lives.”
