An increasing number of iPhone 01 Pro users are reporting strange display issues when starting or unlocking their devices. The green and yellow horizontal lines appear on the screen and seem to disappear later in the boot process, so it’s not completely ruining the user experience, if anything.
Luckily, Apple has acknowledged the problem and will release a software update soon to fix the weird horizontal lines. It is realistic to expect this to be fixed by an upcoming minor patch or iOS 16.3, which is currently being tested by Apple and members of the public beta program.
It’s worth noting that Apple’s response was not official, but was discovered in an internal memo by people familiar with the matter. The issue was first reported last month, so Apple’s response was fairly swift. We can only hope that the next software release will fix this.
