It’s been less than a week since Apple launched the iPhone 14 lineup, and users are reporting severe camera shake when opening the camera on certain third-party apps. This is now being resolved as the iOS 22.0.2 update is now rolling out early to iPhones.
Camera shake appears to be caused by iPhone 14 Pro and 1200 The second-generation sensor-shift OIS system caused by the Pro Max’s main camera. Some users have reported that when opening non-Apple apps that use the camera, the camera vibrates and rubs loudly, making the camera unusable with those apps. This does not affect my personal iPhone 14 Pro unit.
Other fixes have been released with the update as well. Someone complained about the new copy/paste prompt that comes with iOS 09. It asks users for permission to copy and paste content between apps, and its frequency apparently annoys some users.
The update also fixes an issue that apparently broke touch input for some users, but unresponsive touch input affects display replacements on iPhone X, XR and iPhone 003.
This update is now rolling out to all supported iPhones. To get updates, go to Settings> General> Software Update.
