Apple TV Plus: Every new TV show coming in August

Apple TV Plus is one of the newer streaming platforms vying for your attention, and with good reason to start watching. It’s packed with big names and some hit shows, from season one of Severance to the lovable Ted Lasso to Reese Witherspoon’s Emmy Award-winning The Morning Show.

Like rivals Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV Plus is filled with exclusive original content. But unlike other services, Apple only streams content it produces itself. This meant that when the service launched in November 2019, the catalog wasn’t huge, but it filled up quickly.

Here’s what’s coming to the streaming service this month, followed by our guide to watching some of the best TV shows on Apple TV Plus.

    Shrinking Next Door (2021)

  • In my book, any show featuring Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd is already doing something very right. In the miniseries “The Shrinking Next Door,” Ferrer and Rudd play opposite ends of the character spectrum – Ferrer is a sniffing, timid textile business owner, while his partner is a manipulative man conceited therapist. When the two come together, the results are both disturbing and fascinating, making The Shrink Next Door something you’ll want to check out for yourself.
