Apple today announced that it will host its next event on Wednesday, September 7 at the company’s Apple Park campus. The event will start at 10: 00 AM PT, both on-site and on-site will participate in the company’s website and Play on YouTube.
As a September event, the focus will be on the new iPhones. New this year is the plus-sized iPhone 14 Plus/Max, which is basically the same size as the iPhone 14 Pro Max, but the same size as the iPhone 14 feature set. This model will replace the iPhone mini in the lineup.
The new iPhones are also expected to get an updated display, with a pill-shaped cutout replacing the current notch. While the bangs did shrink in size last year, it’s still quite large and probably the largest of any production phone today. The new pill-shaped design reduces visual quality while still keeping all the sensors Face ID needs to work. Expected to only be available on Pro models. There are also rumors that the Pro model is exclusive to the next-generation A16 processor, and the standard model retains the A14. The camera on the Pro model is also expected to be 48 megapixels. Meanwhile, all models will feature a new autofocus front-facing camera.
Accompanying the new iPhone will be the next-generation Apple Watch Series 8. Standard and Pro versions are expected to be available, the latter featuring a larger display, a sturdy titanium body and shatter-resistant glass. There are also rumors that the Pro model has a body temperature sensor.
It’s also possible that Apple will announce updated iPad Pro models, but they’ll likely be announced alongside any Mac updates at its October event.
