This fall, Apple will update AirPods Pro 2 with three great new features: Adaptive Audio, Personalized Volume, and Conversation Sense.
Adaptive Audio is a listening mode that dynamically mixes Transparency Mode and Active Noise Cancellation based on your ambient conditions. It automatically switches between modes for the best current experience.
Personalized Volume uses machine learning to understand how environmental conditions and listening preferences change over time Automatically fine-tune the media experience.
Conversation Awareness will lower the music volume and boost the instant you start talking to reduce the sound in front of you while reducing background noise.
One, all, or some combination of these features are already available on competing products, but it’s nice to see Apple update their existing earbuds with such a significant new feature – when the update comes out , they will last about a year.
Updating to Auto Switching will mean significantly faster and more reliable connection times between your Apple Listening on one device to another is more seamless.
Finally, the first generation AirPods Pro, as well as AirPods 3 and AirPods Max also incorporate a new mute or unmute feature , which allows you to press the handle (or the Digital Crown on AirPods Max) to mute or unmute yourself during a call.
