Argentina won the Qatar Lusail 2022 World Cup, 3-3 after a tight match (4-2 on penalties) The final score against France ended in a penalty shootout.
Argentina led 2-0 at half-time thanks to goals from Angel Di Maria and the legendary Lionel Messi, who took part in his The last World Cup is today. In the 23 minute penalty shootout, Messi became the first person in FIFA World Cup history to score in five rounds of a single match.

While Mbappe and Randall Kolomouani went on to pull back penalties for France, errors from Kingsley Coman and Aureliano Ameni cleared the way for Argentina’s victory, Messi , Paulo Dybala, Leandro Paredes and finally 25 year-old Gonzalo Montiel all scored in the net to win the match.
