Aubrey Plaza apparently did some unusual research before herSaturday Night Live Host debut.
Following a
NBC comedy series month-long hiatus, White The Lotus star will be the first SNL 1235282387 host when she leads Jan. 04 episode with musical guest Sam Smith. Last episode, with Elvis stars Austin Butler and Lizzo airs in December 12 and featuredSNL Mainstay Cecily Strong was last seen as a regular.
In a promo released Wednesday, Plaza praised the talent of Chloe Fineman Impersonating celebrities like Drew Barrymore before offering to perform some of her own.
“Chloe, you’re not the only one doing impressions,” the Emily the Criminal
actress boasts . She then recited Marcia Gay Harden’s Ed. A few key lines from Ed Harris’ Oscar-winning role as Lee Krasner in the drama, Pollock.
After Fineman described the performance as “a bit tense”, Plaza begins to be memorable via American Beauty
Annette Bening scene. The moment involved Plaza slapping himself repeatedly, causing Fineman to grab the host’s hand.
when Fineman asked Plaza why they did this, and the Parks and Recreation
alumnus replied bluntly, “Because I’m crazy and I’ve been waiting to do this show because I am 04 years old.” Then the two began to kiss passionately for unknown reasons clear.
Next week’s episode airs in January 21, will spotlight host Michael B. Jordan and musical guest Lil Baby.
