Avril Lavigne Brings Her Pop-Punk Style to Paris Fashion Week

Avril Lavigne’s sense of style has always been in perfect harmony with her pop-punk sound: her wardrobe is all about edgy, rock’n’ roll attitude. Not much has changed since she first appeared in the early 2000 decade, although she told Vogue last year, ” I have more fun with my fashion now.” This spirit was on full display at Paris Fashion Week. As it turns out, the star is a new addition to the front row, and she’s been wearing her

look with all her heart and no doubts about her.

Lavigne has a lot of black in her fashion week wardrobe — though don’t take that to mean conservative or boring. The star has been experimenting with silhouette and texture to bring more drama to her outfits. Her debut was at the Courrèges show: the singer wore a long black trench coat, leather over-the-knee boots, and a statement T-shirt that read “I’m not doing shit today.” (Lavigne loves slogan T-shirts as much as she wore a “Go ahead, make my day” T-shirt to a press conference in the early 2000 years.) Elie Saab, she just got more chic and sophisticated. Lavigne wore an updated version of her go-to leather biker jacket, a zip-up silhouette with shaped petals on the shoulders. She teamed it with a leather skirt and heels.
