Former President Barack Obama won his first Emmy on Saturday for a Netflix documentary Our Great National Park .
Host RuPaul accepted on his behalf and received a big round of applause.
He was awarded for his excellent narration, titled “Wonderful Worlds,” which explored the beaches of Africa, the islands of Japan and the Great Barrier Reef of Australia.
Obama is a 2009 Nobel Peace Prize winner. He’s also half EGOT now, as his Emmys will also join the two Grammys he won for the spoken word album Daring Hope: Reflections on Restoring the American Dream and my father’s dream .
Our Great National Park was also nominated for its cinematography.
