In a revised draft of the Bleacher Report six years later, Brandon Ingram topped the list. The Pelicans star beat Jaylen Brown, who was picked third overall in the 2016 draft. Ingram’s stardom has grown considerably, especially after his first-round playoff performance against the Phoenix Suns.

    New Orleans Pelicans fans know what a star Brandon Ingram is, but the average NBA fan must See how special he is. In his first playoff appearance in his career, Ingram averaged 27 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The only other players to average those numbers over the first six games of the playoffs are LeBron James, Michael Jordan and Luka Doncic. His outstanding performance was immediately praised by Stephen Smith and other prominent national television outlets.

    If history is any indication, Ingram is only getting better here. In his three years in New Orleans, Ingram averaged nearly 25 points, six rebounds and five assists. That’s a marked improvement from his average of 16 points, 5.4 rebounds and three assists per game in his first three years in Los Angeles. For a guy who already won the Most Improved Player award in 2020, it makes sense to keep improving his game year after year. That same year, he made his first All-Star team, but we all thought it would be his last. His NBA peers certainly don’t think so.

Durant recently demanded a trade from the Brooklyn Nets, and some members of the media have circulated the name Brandon Ingram in Durant’s return plan. There are no rumors from the Pelicans camp that there have been any discussions between the two teams. Regardless, the 24-year-old Ingram can be mentioned alongside the likes of Kevin Durant, who remains the league’s true superstar.

    Ingram cemented his star power among Pelicans fans and regular fans alike. As he keeps improving and the Pelicans keep winning, Brandon Ingram finds himself at the top of the list more and more.
