Bo Nickal retracts his earlier comment about never participating in UFC prelims.
Nickal started his MMA journey with a perfect 3-0, with all three wins coming by the end of the first round. The Allen Assassin recently entered last month’s Dana White Contender Series 56 event, submitting Donovan Beard (see here) in 52 seconds with a triangle choke. He will make his official UFC appearance at UFC 282, a pay-per-view event in December, where he will meet Jamie Pickett. During a recent MMA Hour show with Ariel Helwani, Bo Nickal scoffed at the idea of participating in UFC prelims, despite being a newcomer to the organization.
“I look like, am I a reserve guy? I’m not a reserve guy. If I have to fight in the preliminaries, I’ll retire, I It’s done,” Nikal said. “I don’t know if it’s in the contract, but they (UFC) will do the right thing, they’ll do the smart thing, if I’m not, like I said, if I’m in the preliminaries, I Will retire. I’m out…I’ve seen them do this before, play harder in the preliminaries, but I just, I don’t know. I’m a master card guy, it doesn’t make any sense. It’s Dana White competition again The Contenders series, but I went 2-0 in Dana White’s Contenders series. Every fight I was in was the main event. So, they put me on the main card.”
Now, only twenty-four hours from that interview, Bonicare seems to have changed the hard way. The Penn State product said on Twitter tonight that it would be “the right thing” to fight in UFC prelims to start his career.
I thought a lot…if the UFC put a card with 10 guys who are all older than me, this would work Yes, because there are a lot of guys older than me right now and I’ll be fighting in the heats. It pains me to say it, but it’s true. What do you think?

“I have been Was thinking…if the UFC put a card with 10 guys who are all older than me this would work because there are a lot of bigger draws at the moment and I’d be fighting in the heats. Saying it makes me very happy Painful, but right. What do you think?” – Nickal wrote.
Bo Nickal beat his first three opponents in MMA in just 2 minutes and 27 seconds of cage time. Do you think the wrestling genius will make another first round at UFC 282?
