Brazil's central bank president forecasts 6.5% inflation in 2022

(Reuters) – Brazil’s central bank governor Roberto Campos Neto forecast on Tuesday that inflation will hit 6.5 percent or slightly lower this year , adding that the country will see monthly deflation in two months or three months.

Policy makers are still waiting for some certainty that inflation is reaching an inflection point and now is not the time to celebrate, he said in a speech at an event hosted by Moneda Asset Management in Chile.
