Brazil's Guedes pledges privatisation and lower public spending under re-elected Bolsonaro

RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) – Brazilian Economy Minister Paulo Guedes on Wednesday said that President Jair Bolsonaro would continue privatizing state companies if reelected in October.

at an event promoted by businessmen in Rio de Janeiro, he also said that a new Bolsonaro term would bring public spending down to 15 % of GDP or 16 compared to the previous 18% forecast for the end of the year.
