Brendan Schaub responds fiery to Dana White’s rant about UFC 279 conspiracy theory as he and UFC Hall of Famer Pat Miletich talk about promotion’s last-second headline reshuffle role in.
White initially took aim at Miletich after Tuesday’s Contenders series, saying he missed out if he thought the promotion had orchestrated the massive weight of Khamzat Chimaev and Nate Diaz Chimaev.
Schaub posted a response to White on his Instagram account on Monday, with a photo of the MMA Fighting story about the rant, which ended with the UFC exec at the Miletich named the source of the theory (in fact, Miletich did support a similar theory in a recent Instagram post). Twitter earlier got into an argument with White and doubled down on his doubts about the promotional official line for the revamped UFC 279.
“Unfortunately, it is not surprising that you are a bully,” Schaub wrote. “It always has been. You put on a pair of designer jeans and some ‘funky sneakers’ and think you’re cool. You’re still a dumbass with a frat vocabulary.”
He also checked White’s claim that UFC 279 was “sold out on the day of the weigh-in,” writing that he was referring to pay-per-view sales, which are not immediately counted or released to the public.
Schaub also accused UFC executives of lying about additional compensation paid to headline UFC 279. White said none of the fighters received a raise for last-second substitutions, while Diaz said he “couldn’t count” how much money he received in his headline fight with Tony Ferguson. Multiple people with knowledge of the situation told MMA Fighting that at least two fighters received additional compensation for the new fight.
“Sorry, we just don’t buy the lies you tell, but the sheep media you choose to attend don’t have the ball to call you out,” Schaub wrote. “Just at the most recent press conference, you were caught lying about additional compensation to the fighters.
“You need a reality check. You are surrounded by “yes men”. You are not special, you are not original. You are a low budget Vince McMahon. Everything you do is a replica of that guy. The only thing you have in common is that you are both on steroids and dressed like a dick.
Below is Schaub’s full Instagram post.
Omg… here we go again. I’ve been cool and think you’ll learn from the last time you mentioned my name and got devastated. Unfortunately, it’s no surprise that you’re a bully. Always. You put on a pair of designer jeans and some “funky sneakers” and think you’re cool. You’re still an idiot with a frat vocabulary. Calling me and many people “dumb” “dumb” “fucking idiots” because we have questions about the “chaos” of UFC 279? Also, no one’s talking about *tickets, *I mean *pay-per-viewand how UFC 279 *trends*…you don’t release it to the public but say “it fuckin’ bro!” sorry , we just don’t buy what you tell us after you’ve lied countless times, but the sheep media you choose to be in doesn’t have the ball to call you out. Just at the most recent press conference, you were caught lying about extra compensation for fighters. You need a reality check. You are surrounded by “yes men”. You are not special, you are not original. You are a low budget Vince McMahon. Everything you do is a replica of that guy. The only thing you have in common is that you are both on steroids and dressed like jerk. Need I remind you that your origin story is that of a failed cardio boxing coach who had two wealthy friends in high school who funded the business. Now go make a “cool” video with the Nelk boys to stay relevant, or get your PR team to come up with a good news story to distract fans from what fighters are paid for and how they Put on those bad armor rock shoes and win without a dime in sight. “Dummy”
PS. Stop stealing my show on thicccboy network and recreate it on fight pass, k?
And… leave Pat Miletich alone.
