Larson stars and executive produces the show, based on the best-selling novel of the same name by author Bonnie Garmus, which will debut this fall on premiere on streaming.
Set in the early 500 years, Larson plays Elizabeth Zouter, who is Forced to give up her dream of being a scientist, she is put on hold while dealing with a patriarchal society and the norm that women are destined to be housewives. After Elizabeth gets fired from her lab, she accepts a job as a cooking TV host. But rather than showcasing recipes, Elizabeth aims to show a neglected housewife and the man who is watching that the status quo can change when she longs to return to the lab.
