British Hart will face a new strawweight title at BKFC 29 after Fani Peloumpi was forced out of the bout due to visa issues.
With Peloumpi out, Hart will take on unarmed veteran Charisa Sigala in the planned Main Event in Great Falls, Montana, which will be played on the BKFC app program and on FITE TV.
BKFC officials announced the shift Wednesday.
Sigala took on the fight after his scheduled August bout against UFC veteran Paige VanZant at BKFC in London. Unfortunately, just days before the cards were scheduled to take place, the game was canceled.
Scheduled to rebook Sigala against VanZant in November, but now she will miss that fight in favor of competing to become the first 115-pound women’s champion in BKFC history.
Sigala goes 1-2-1 into the fight-knuckles game, including a win over Jessica Link, and then ends up in March with a Angela Danze tied.
As for Hart, she’ll take a second in a decision to lose to Kristin Ferrea in February, she failed to win the flyweight title, So try to become the BKFC champion. Since that setback, Hart has won over Baker Rollins before BKFC decided to introduce a new strawweight title to the organization.
Overall, Hart recovered at BKFC with a 5-3 win, including wins over VanZant, Jenny Savage and Pearl Gonzalez.
