The Denver Broncos are expected to comfortably beat the Seattle Seahawks. Instead, they battle it out in their first Monday Night Football game of the 2022 season.

By acquiring quarterback Russell Wilson, the Denver Broncos are expected to finally live up to their expectations, putting them in the playoffs for the first time since their Super Bowl 50 victory. They had a chance to use Wilson’s former team, the Seattle Seahawks, as an example in Monday Night Football’s season premiere.

Instead, the Broncos worked hard to live up to the hype. From multiple penalties and turnovers, they actually trailed the Seahawks 17-10 heading into the fourth quarter.

The Broncos had 3 timeouts on the final hit in the fourth quarter. Head coach Nathaniel Hackett didn’t use either, letting the clock drop to less than 30 seconds in the fourth and fifth, deciding to let Brandon McManus attempt a 64-yard field goal. McManus missed and gave the Seahawks a 17-16 victory.

Twitter responds to Broncos vs Seahawks poor performance

To say Twitter is ruthless with them is an understatement.

These quarterbacks make $40 million a year. They can learn to hit the ball fast and drop forward into the finish zone. This is insanity.

So my guess for the 2022 Broncos offense is:

– Russ Wilson ran around and did a few big random matches, the usual

– Ridiculous RB rotation ensures neither side is in a rhythm, and the veteran reduction limits the impact of their best offensive players.
