Tom Brady is reportedly expected to retire after the 2022 NFL season.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Brady will be entering the season and looking forward to his last professional football game. While it’s “conceivable” that Brady would eventually change his mind, it’s thought he’s more likely to leave and start his postgame career as a Fox announcer.

The network signed Brady to a 10-year, $375 million contract in May. He is expected to serve as both chief color commentator and ambassador, with more official details to be announced when Brady actually retires.
The future Hall of Famer initially announced in February that he would retire from football, but only backtracked after more than a month. Behind the scenes, the Miami Dolphins made an unprecedented tampering with Brady and former New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton that ended up costing them multiple future draft picks.
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that the Dolphins want to make Brady and Payton a package deal, initially Was lured by the quarterback as part owner of “retirement” before Brady planned to play in Miami. That said, Brady doesn’t look like his first two in Tampa anymore. Head coach Bruce Arians and tight end Rob Gronkowski have both retired, and Brady himself is taking training camp off for personal matters. Rapoport reports that Brady spends most of his time off vacationing in the Bahamas with his family to fulfill a commitment he made in his first retirement.
