Cannes Film Festival: Todd Haynes' 'May and December' receives rave reviews

Todd Haynes’ May December impressed at Cannes , in Saturday Night Premiere as Natalie Portman , Julianne Moore won a six minute standing ovation Charles Melton looked on.

Marketed in the US by CAA Media Finance and UTA Independent Film Group, the film was written by Samy Burch and produced by Killer Films’ Christine in France on Saturday Night Vachon and Will Ferrell.

The May December Premiere at Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon was delayed after its previous premiere, running for more than three hours. The late start didn’t stop audiences from laughing at the film’s funny moments.

“It was such a joy to make this movie. We put the footage together at an unbelievable pace,” Haynes said after the crowd applauded said, adding that they only filmed for days in Savannah, Georgia. “This requires the creative participation of everyone to make it happen.”
