The series is called Cara Loves Karl, a fusion of gender-neutral ready-to-wear and accessories. “I never understood how we defined clothing by gender,” Delevingne said. “What’s important to me is that the collection is not only unisex, but genderless.” The cut-forward collection has a concentrated, very KL colour palette of black, navy and white; Featuring elongated vests and button-down shirts, details allow the wearer to tailor the pieces to their own style. For example, one shirt has a detachable collar and another has buttons at the waist, which can make it a cropped shirt.
“I was in LA last week for a friend’s birthday and [I flew] to New York for Only Murders in the Building do the news, and then fly back to London. In a week!” she revealed. “I often live in a suitcase, so I love pieces that can be worn in different ways. I also always find time for a nap – like anywhere – so with that in mind, the collection is also comfortable, Simple and wearable.” Delevingne’s personal dressing ideas stand out in the collection, such as a two-tone navy and black single-breasted blazer, and a black reversible bomber lined with light blue faux fur—perfect for snuggling!
“I’ve been living in a reversible bomber …it’s like day and night! Light side and dark side, depending on my mood,” revealed Delevingne. “I’m obsessed. All my friends keep trying to steal it from me. People keep asking me where I can get it, and I have to keep telling them ‘Sorry! You’ll have to wait until September,'” she added. Her trademark sense of humor added. The clothes will be available on the brand’s website and in pop-up stores in New York, Los Angeles, Paris and Milan.
