FRANCE – GSM Dafy Michelin Yamaha, the current French Supercross Champion led by renowned former Supercross and Motocross racer Serge Guidetty, announced today the FIM World Driver Lineup for Supercross Pilot Season (Wall Street Journal). Competing in the WSX (450cc) class world championships are seasoned French rider Thomas Ramette (a multiple French and British SX1 Supercross Championship winner) and 2020 French MX2 champion Anthony Bourdon. Completing GSM Yamaha’s rider lineup is 2021 French MX1 Motocross Champion and SX1 Supercross Champion Maxime Desprey, as well as up-and-coming American Carson Brown, He will be competing in the SX2 (250cc) class of the FIM World Supercross.
Guidetty and GSM Team Yamaha have developed a force to be reckoned with in the French Supercross and Motocross scene A roster containing some of France’s best talent who will compete for the title of FIM-sanctioned world champion. The FIM World Supercross Championship will provide a truly global stage for three French and one American riders to prove they deserve to compete with the best riders from around the world.

GSM Yamaha’s WSX lineup has a pair of French champions in Ramette and Bourdon. Ramette is a seasoned Supercross rider who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. Combining Ramette’s talent with young, up-and-coming French rider Bourdon, who has already won the MX2 French Supercross Championship, this 450cc team is ready to fight for a podium at every Grand Prix.
The SX2 lineup includes Desprey, a motocross and Supercross seasoned rider, former Grand Prix driver and 2014 and 2015 Paris SX Prince. His teammate in the SX2 class is up-and-coming American Brown from Ravensdale, Washington, who has competed in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship and the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship. He will seek to make a name for himself on the global stage in Melbourne and Cardiff.
The FIM World Supercross Championship will host the British Grand Prix on Saturday 8 October at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Tickets for the first round of the 2022 pilot season are now on sale and can be found here. The 2022 FIM World Supercross Championship will serve as a “pilot” season, allowing the championship to build and build momentum in 2023. From 2023 and subsequent years, the FIM World Supercross Championships expand each year between June and November, with up to a dozen events in 2023.
