Since her Academy Award nomination for her role as Lydia Tár, Cate Blanchett seems to have a newfound interest in the stage. But instead of swinging a baton at Glastonbury, she debuted some impressive swing moves, performing an exhilarating rendition of “The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte”.
In their first Glastonbury show in their five-year career, Ron and Russell Mael, the brothers behind Sparks, introduce the The year-old Australian told the audience: “We recently did a video for the song and we’re very honored to have the great actor Cate Blanchett join us. Cate Blanchett, Where are you?” The Oscar winner then appeared in the yellow suit and red headphones worn in the “Girl Crying in a Latte” video, swaying silently like a car wash inflator.
