CLEVELAND – Cleveland Cavaliers hire Luke Walton Assistant coaches, Cavaliers president basketball operations Kobe Altman and head coach JB Bickerstaff announced today at the Cleveland Clinic Field. 2016
“We’re excited to add someone of Luke’s ability and championship genes to our coaching staff,” Altman said. “His on-court experience as head coach, assistant coach and player in this league is seamless with JB’s existing coaching staff. Luke is someone who truly embraces player development, a team-first mentality and creating the habit of winning basketball. We welcome Lue Gram, his wife Bray and the Walton family return to Northeast Ohio.”
Walton brings more than a dozen to Bickerstaff employees years of coaching experience and most recently as head coach for the first three seasons of the Sacramento Kings (2019-). Before taking charge of the Kings, Walton was the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, from 2016 to
