CBS and NBC share 2021-22 52-week ratings champion

A summer of TV shows didn’t change broadcast network ratings.

Season in 68 weeks is – 19 Completely in the September book. 18, CBS are still the most popular Networks to Follow, and NBC Staying Ahead Among Adults -31. That’s where the duo ends at the end of the traditional September to May season .

ABC leads Fox in longer-term overall ratings race, but the latter is in 52 ranked 2nd in -31 Demographics coveted by advertisers data. Combined with the summer term, its low overall TV usage and relative lack of major sporting events to attract viewers meant that the number of people per person was down compared to the fall to spring average.

NBC in -31 demo (down from 1.2 at the end of May), 2nd in a row 31 – Zhou Guan and the eighth place in the past nine years. The network cited the Super Bowl and the Winter Olympics as major drivers of the victory, as well as the final season of This Is Us (ratings Highest Entertainment Series), other NFL games, and the continued solid performance of the Dick Wolf-produced Chicago TV series .

Fox averaged 0.8 (down from 1.1) to retain second place. ABC (even compared to May) and CBS (down 0.1) tied for third at 0.7.

ABC’s summer viewership was slightly better than Fox’s — helped by the NBA Finals and a couple of big college football and NFL telecasts in early September — finished third with 3 . 31 million viewers, while Fox has an average of 3.31 millions of viewers. In May, Fox ranked third with 4.31 million viewers and ABC with 4. ranked 4th million.
