We’re fully into the conference schedule around the country, and that’s usually when real contenders start to emerge and teams get tested more often.

In some cases, these contenders just have to survive, like in No. 1 Georgia’s 26-22 win over Missouri, where the Tigers were in the majority of the game Time lead, almost completed the biggest upset of the season.

Take No. 5 Clemson as an example, it’s all about which team is in charge in the ACC. That’s exactly what Clemson did with a 30-20 victory over No. 10 North Carolina State.

Another top contender, No. 2 Alabama, got the job done 49-26 despite Crimson Tide star quarterback Bryce Young in second Festival left the game with a shoulder injury, but won on the road against 20th-ranked Arkansas.

Elsewhere, No. 9 Oklahoma State made a statement in last year’s Big 12 championship rematch, beating No. 1 36-26 on the road 16 Baylor.

We also saw multiple top-ranked teams play against unranked opponents, with TCU route No. 18 Oklahoma and Mississippi from No. 17 The Texas A&M 42-24 stands out.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on the monster showdown between No. 10 North Carolina and No. 5 Clemson, and No. 1 Missouri and No. 1 Georgia unpopular.
