BEIJING (Reuters) – China said on Sunday it would take necessary steps to safeguard its companies’ interests after Canada last week ordered three Chinese companies to pull out of investments in Canada’s key minerals, citing national security concerns.
China’s Ministry of Commerce said in a statement that it urged Canada to stop politicizing economic and trade issues.
