Klaus to the rescue. As an archiving specialist, Klaus works inside Gucci under Tom Ford, overseeing the archiving of collectibles. 14 Years later, Krause continued to work part-time for Ford and began accepting more clients, from celebrities and private collectors, to clients from Marc Jacobs to Calvin Klein Brand and Carolina Herrera.

Sevigny is well controlled. Klaus knows clothing storage like no other. During our conference call, she rattled off facts and tips, noting that the biggest mistake people make is leaving dry cleaning bags (“plastic trap chemicals”) and that space-saving huggable hangers are a no-no (“It’s actually will ruin the neck and shoulder lines of your clothes over time.”) For The Wardrobe clients, Krause maintains a moth-free archive facility in Los Angeles that is truly museum-worthy. The space is equipped with temperature and humidity controls and is equipped with air filtration.

Klaus and Sevigny have worked hard to preserve some of the actor’s most recognizable works, including a trip to her pantry unit in the actor’s home state of Connecticut. Some of Sevigny’s most moving pieces include her vintage blue T-shirt from Kids, a leather jacket with Elvis on the back, Actress Linda Manz dressed in 1996Out of the Blue1996, and she was featured in her widely circulated, now Tumblr A portrait of a high school with a beaded necklace on the body of the angry senior.
