Chris Collinsworth sounds terrible on Sunday Football Night and everyone takes notice

The Buccaneers and Cowboys sparred on NBC’s Sunday Night Football, but the talk on Twitter was color commentator Chris Collinsworth. Not because of what he said, or because the patented Collinsworth slipped into the frame.

His voice sounded a little hoarse.

NBC Sports Cris Collinsworth will definitely get hurt tonight. The sound is tense and doesn’t have the same energy. But he’s phasing out TV shows.

Chris Collinsworth is the point where you tell your friends it’s just a cold and you test negative for Covid-19 Again, you actually feel much better than it sounds, but no one buys it. – Stephen J. Nesbitt (@stephenjnesbitt) September 12, 2022

Worth wondering What happened to Collinsworth between Thursday and Sunday night. He’s on the Bills-Rams broadcast and sounds good, but tonight he sounds like Monster’s Inc.’s Roz. Maybe overused? Maybe sick? Speculation has started over whether Collinsworth has contracted COVID-19, wondering if he was tested before the game. He does have to travel from Los Angeles to Dallas.

Most importantly, if Collinsworth sounds like he has a bubble, why not? t NBC to let him rest? Who will be next at the booth? NBC has a roster of people who could theoretically call the game, such as Drew Brees (who on Saturday called it the Notre Dame game). Could NBC call Jac Collinsworth like a relief pitcher?

However, one thing we do know is that Collinsworth is struggling to endure through what is clearly a sore throat.
