In his hometown of Chicago, CM Punk defeated Jon Moxley at All Out on Sunday to become the two-time All Elite Wrestling World Champion.

After the game, MJF made a long-awaited return to AEW and challenged punk to end the show. MJF was revealed to be the masked man who appeared as a clown in the casino ladder game earlier that night, and was given a chance to challenge for the world championship in the future. Punk vs Moxley was a less than two-game rematch with the undisputed AEW World Champion hanging in the balance on an episode of Dynamite a few weeks ago.
Mox went to that tournament as the interim AEW world champion, while Punk was the de facto world champion, making their Dynamite clash a A unified competition with the biggest prizes in AEW online.
Shockingly, the m game only lasted a few minutes as Punk seems to have sprained his foot , Moxley hit him with his finisher and nailed him to officially become the first two-time AEW World Champion in history.
Punk completes his ascent in Double or Nothing after beating ‘The Executioner’ Adam Page for the AEW World Championship in May Top, but he didn’t come to celebrate AEW president Tony Khan didn’t let Punk out of the title, but was sidelined for a long time by a foot ailment. It was decided to determine an interim champion through a series of matches.
The match for the interim champion is finally between Mox and the legendary New Japan Pro. Wrestling star Hiroshi Tanahashi prevailed in Forbidden Door and Moxley, setting the stage for the eventual match against Punk. After two months of action, Punk is back in Dynamite on Aug. 10 and faces off against Moxley for interim champ Chris Jericho after a successful defeat. By taking on the world of wrestling in an episode of Dynamite, fans were even more stunned by the way Mox won.
At that point, it’s unclear if a rematch will happen, especially with Dynamite going home before punk goes all out After an episode of doubting himself and his health.
Moxley leaves an open contract for All Out’s title fight, however, Punk’s close friend Ace Steel begs Punk to sign it Get this contract and fight Moxley again.
Punk finally agreed and eliminated Moxley’s 2nd AEW World Championship by defeating Moxley in All Out and overcoming adversity to win the AEW World Championship for the second time. Devastating loss on Dynamite.
