Kerr said he was happy after a two-inning practice Wednesday at George Steinbrenner Field His fastball command and weak contact produced.

After class, Cole avoids the air-conditioned club and goes to And stand at the top to observe the other pitchers of the club. In preparation for the Grapefruit League game against the Tigers on March 3, Cole studied how Carlos Rodón and Luis Severino approached the same front-hitting group.
“I really like how everyone looks,” Kerr said. “Sevey looks fresh. He’s got some Mustang traits now; he’s got a lot of horsepower now. I think his second inning was really good — he hit four or five fastballs to Giancarlo in a row, and I Felt like… he got better from there. Carlos looked really good, especially from the feedback from other guys. He’s just getting used to his pace and his stuff looks really good.”

True Blue Yankees call up Triple-A umpires on Wednesday The drills, balls and hits behind home plate, are designed to help batters and pitchers get used to the new pitch timer. LeMahieu was flagged for a violation on his first pitch at bat, but was otherwise seamless.
“I appreciate that he can really give a real ball-strike count and a working clock mechanism that allows people to ask questions in real time as things happen,” Boone said.
Boone said he has been pushing for rule changes to get into the minds of camp hitters early and believes the early return is a success.
“Rizz, for example, tends to keep his head down, even when he’s ready, even when he’s ready,” Boone said. “So knowing when he needs to concentrate, those pop-up questions is good. I think people are definitely aware of that by now. Our pitchers know that. There might be some pitches where they feel a little rushed, but I think They’ve done a really good job of managing it.”

King’s Stuff Michael King pitched two innings in live action Wednesday, his third face at bat since recovering from a fractured right elbow hand. The right-hander hopes to have plenty of time to get ready for Opening Day, saying the aggressive offseason program has boosted his confidence.
“Two weeks before I started throwing, I was begging to get back out there and throw,” King said. “I knew I was ready. I definitely had bad days where I had no range of motion and was like, ‘Can I get it back?’ All the strength and conditioning coaches were like, ‘It’s going to come.’ ’ My first day of throwing, I threw a lacrosse puck over the bottom of the wall and got yelled at by the training staff because I wasn’t allowed to do it. But just did those random things so I knew I was going to be okay. “
He said “[After hitting the ball 27 home run ], I try to remember what I eat Everything I’ve seen, everything I’ve seen, everything I’ve done to try to replicate it. You just make sure you stay focused and not live in the past. You understand it’s a new year and a new approach for opposing teams. You’re just ready to adjust every week, every shot, like we need to.” —
